About the Podcast
Songs You Know is a music industry and entertainment podcast centered around the stories behind the songs, artists, and creative process. Hosted by Toby Gad, Diamond-Award Winning Songwriter/Producer of Grammy Winning Hits like Big Girls Don’t Cry by Fergie, If I Were a Boy by Beyonce and All of Me by John Legend. We’re looking for a creative, internet-savvy editor who understands what catches attention online and knows how to turn long-form conversations into compelling, viral-ready content. The position will also include some Short Social Editing for Toby’s Label, Kite Records.

Responsibilities
- Podcast Editing & Publishing
- Edit full podcast episodes (audio/video)
- Upload full episodes to YouTube as well as Podcast Streaming Networks.
- Create engaging YouTube descriptions and titles
- Create eye-catching thumbnails

Social Media Content
- Identify viral or high-engagement moments from podcast episodes
- Edit clips into short-form videos with strong hooks with viral potential for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok
- Post and manage uploads across platforms



Required Qualifications
- Experience editing video using CapCut and Adobe Premiere Pro
- Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and timing
- Familiarity with short-form social media trends and formats
- Understanding of what performs well on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts
- Ability to work in person in Studio City



Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Adobe After Effects (motion graphics, text animation)
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop (thumbnails, graphics)
- Background or strong interest in music, entertainment, or creator media
