Job Description:

Vin Wine Bar + Bottle Boutique is hiring a part-time Tasting Room Sales Associate. We are a family-owned wine bar and retail bottle shop specializing in the curation of over 80 California and imported wines from boutique, small production wineries. We are located in the Crossroads Shopping Plaza in Carmel just off Hwy 1 within minutes of Carmel By The Sea.

Position Overview

The Tasting Room Sales Associate position is responsible for providing our clients with an exceptional wine experience, in-store wine sales, and the execution of all shop operations including but not limited to monthly wine club fulfillment management, maintain tasting menu and monthly wine club tasting notes, stocking wine shelves, and all shop opening and closing duties. The Tasting Room Sales Associate will also provide support for on and off-site events. Benefits include paid sick time and wine discounts.

Essential Functions

Wine sales and wine club membership promotion
Strong ability to share the story of each of our wines through a personalized tasting experience

Job Requirements

WSET or Sommelier Certfication (Preferred)
Retail wine sales experience (Required)
Wine hospitality experience
Proficient in Excel, Adobe software, Square retail POS
Highly organized, detail oriented, and the ability to work independently.
Monthly wine club fulfillment execution and management
Wine shelf organization and management
Performs other duties as assigned
Must be 21 years of age or over

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items
Specific vision abilities require close and distance vision
Sit and stand for long periods of time
Occasionally bend, stoop, reach, kneel, crouch or climb stairs

Salary: $22.00 to $27.00 /hour
