Baker - Carmel by the Sea

Founded in 1899, Carmel Bakery is the oldest bakery in California, located in the heart of downtown Carmel. We serve coffee and breakfast pastries daily and are known for our famous pretzels.

Responsibilities
- Prepare baked goods from scratch in a high-volume environment
- Measure, mix, shape, and bake dough following recipes and schedules
- Operate ovens and baking equipment safely
- Decorate products as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards
- Work collaboratively with the bakery team

Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of high-volume baking experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and sense of urgency
- Flexible availability, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable attendance and punctuality

Physical Requirements
- Stand/walk up to 8 hours
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Work in a fast-paced, hot kitchen environment
