Job Description

Accounting & Finance
• Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable tax regulations
• Coordinate with external CPA for tax filings, audits, and financial reviews
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
• Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Manage payroll taxes, workers’ compensation, and unemployment reporting
• Prepare a monthly Work in Progress (WIP) report
• Working knowledge of construction Prevailing Wage guidelines
• Working knowledge of Mechanics’ Lien laws
Human Resources
• Work with a broker to administer employee benefits, including health insurance and 401K retirement plans.
• Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with employment laws
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes
• Serve as the primary contact for employee HR-related questions
• Assist management with performance management and employee relations
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor regulations
Compliance & Administration
• Develop and maintain HR and accounting policies and procedures
• Prepare reports for audits, tax filings, and regulatory requirements
• Manage HR documentation, including handbooks, policies, and procedures
• Oversee workers’ compensation, unemployment, and insurance filings
• Maintain licenses, certifications, and insurance documentation

The work schedule for this role is Monday-Friday in the office.
