Script Researcher/Writer for News

We are looking for a script researcher/writer for news and other programs. Minimal experience required. Previous Journalism classes desired. Anticipated hours, 8 per week. May work remotely. Must provide their own equipment and connection if working remotely.

Desired qualifications and experience:
- Knowledge of script writing for a television program
- Good grammar and spelling of the English language
- Convey a professional manner
- College writing classes
- Live in the Tri-Valley

Requirements:
1. Must be dependable and meet deadlines
2. Ability to follow oral and written instructions
3. Excellent eyesight with ability to see color
4. Excellent hearing
5. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
6. Ability to sit for long periods of time
7. High school diploma and minimum AA degree or a course of study in writing
8. Must speak, spell and understand the English language fluently
9. Must not be averse to contacting people and speaking to people by phone
10. Minimum age requirement 18
11. Must have own transportation and a clean driving record
12. Must be physically able to perform duties
13. Attention to detail and accuracy skills imperative
14. Ability to problem solve and perform research
15. Must have a willingness to learn

Education and Experience:
- Previous classes taken to include broadcast journalism with the relevant training needed to work with minimal direction to perform the jobs assigned.
