On-Call Cookie Salesperson (Grand Lake Farmers Market)

***NOTE: This is a permanent on-call position with on-site training that starts on Saturday, January 24th***

Introduction: Hi there! We are Golden Morsels. A small baking business with big cookies & even bigger dreams. Our goal is simple: make REALLY good cookies with straightforward ingredients that both satisfy your sweet tooth cravings & help brighten your day. Baking is our passion and cookies are the medium in which we share that with the world - one cookie and one morsel at a time.

Requirements: We currently operate a stall at Grand Lake Farmers Market (Oakland) every Saturday from 9AM - 2PM (5 hours total). As such, the candidate must be an East Bay resident with a reliable form of transportation or preferably be within walking distance to the market. We are looking for a consistent, hard working self-starter with an outgoing & energetic personality that is accustomed to a customer-facing role. This is an on-call position where Saturday open availability/flexibility is a must in case our current salesperson needs to call out. Those with industry experience working in food/baking & pastry are encouraged to apply!

*NOTE: Parking is free (for market employees) and income is untaxed

Responsibilities: Breakdown of the tent & market stall, loading van equipment, packing cookie orders, refilling sales items, handing out cookie samples, processing payments (via Square), general cleanup of market equipment and our vendor space, interacting with customers.

Must have the ability to lift 50 LBS.
