Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Cutter / Installer to support our fabrication and installation operations. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working with luxury textiles, handling finished goods with care, and representing the company professionally during on-site installations. The ideal candidate is precise, dependable, physically capable, and adaptable to working in active construction environments.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Accurately cut luxury fabrics and materials according to design specifications and measurements
Handle, package, and transport fabricated goods for installation with care and attention to detail
Install custom interior soft goods on-site (e.g., curtains, pillows, cushions, wall upholstery, hardware, and related elements)
Work in under-construction and active job sites while maintaining safety, professionalism, and awareness
Collaborate with designers, installers, and workroom staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of designs
Load, unload, and move equipment and fabricated goods as needed
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in an organized and safe manner
Travel occasionally for out-of-state installations (travel expenses covered by the company)
Dress professionally and appropriately when representing the company on-site

Requirements & Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and precision, especially when cutting and handling luxury fabrics
Experience working with high-end textiles and interior design materials preferred
Prior experience with Lutron and Somfy motorized shade systems is preferred.
Ability to lift and move equipment or fabricated goods weighing up to 75 pounds
Experience using power tools relevant to installation work (or ability to learn quickly).
Ability to follow detailed instructions, measurements, and installation plans
Comfortable working in active construction or renovation environments
Professional appearance and demeanor when working on-site with clients and trade partners
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong time-management and problem-solving skills
Ability to read, speak, and write English
High school diploma or equivalent; must be at least 18 years of age
Reliable transportation required (position based in Maplewood, NJ)

Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move for extended periods
Ability to safely lift and carry up to 75 pounds
Ability to work in varied environments, including workrooms and construction sites
