Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Seamstress / Workroom Sewer to join our growing interior design workroom. This role is ideal for someone with strong sewing and fabrication skills who is comfortable working with luxury textiles and custom specifications. The right candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Construct high-quality custom textile products, including:
Curtains with borders and trims
Pillows with borders and trims
Bed toppers and dust skirts
Window seat cushions
Tablecloths and other soft goods
Operate industrial sewing machines, including straight-needle, serger, and walking-foot machines
Sew various hems, pockets, shirring, bindings, and elastic or rubber components
Read and interpret design specifications, measurements, and fabrication instructions
Collaborate with team members to ensure all finished products meet company quality standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workroom environment
Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and production schedules

Requirements & Qualifications:
Strong sewing and drapery construction skills
Minimum 5+ years of experience in interior design fabrication and luxury textile-based manufacturing
High level of attention to detail and craftsmanship
Ability to problem-solve and adapt during the fabrication process
Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Ability to read, speak, and write English
High school diploma or equivalent; must be at least 18 years of age
Reliable transportation required (work location is Maplewood, NJ)

Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand at a workstation for extended periods
Ability to lift and move materials or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds
