Main Street Tavern in Buena Vista is hiring a Full-Time Bar Manager!

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar and beverage service at Main Street Tavern located in Buena Vista, CO. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food and beverage management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences while being a responsible and trustworthy manager. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. The Bar Manager will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring operational efficiency and profitability.

Responsibilities/Qualifications:
- Supervise and manage bar staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling team members to ensure optimal coverage during shifts.
- Oversee food and beverage preparation, ensuring quality standards are met and maintained consistently.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability.
- Operate POS systems such as Toast POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all bar operations.
- Coordinate with kitchen management to ensure seamless service during events such as special events and catering functions.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and foster positive guest relationships to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in accordance with health regulations.
- Assist in budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting related to bar operations.
- Lead staff training initiatives focused on food handling, hospitality management, and customer service excellence.
- Develop promotional activities to boost sales and enhance the bar’s reputation within the community.
- Must be able to lift minimum of 50lbs

Experience Required:
- Proven management experience in a bar/tavern atmosphere.
- Extensive background in food and beverage industry including all food safety practices.
- Experience with Toast POS or other POS systems.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in restaurant management or hospitality management roles.
- Familiarity with inventory control, budgeting, and food production processes.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to train staff effectively in service standards.
- Knowledge of marketing strategies to implement advertising, community events, collaborate on menu design, special events and social media.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 - $54,000.00 per year
