Job Description

We are currently looking for a First Cook for our South Windsor location.
Primary Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Being able to prepare meals for breakfast and lunch, including a variety of entrees, side dishes, salads, soups, and desserts while maintaining safe food handling procedures. Baking is a plus.
Operate, maintain, and properly clean all kitchen equipment and cooking tools, reporting to management any safety hazards or damaged equipment.
Thorough knowledge of all kitchen terminology and safety rules.
Qualification
Minimum of a High School Diploma/ GED
Required Skills
Ability to work as a team and independently
Cooking techniques
Time management
Organizational skills
Preferred Skills
High volume quantity food preparation and cooking.
High end food experience.
Required Experience
Must have at least five years of work experience in the food industry as a Cook.
Candidates must have their up to date Sanitation certification.
Corporate cafeteria and banquet experience a plus.
Preferred Experience
Assistant kitchen manager and sous chef positions are encouraged
Required Certification
Valid sanitation certification
Preferred Certification
Management sanitation certification
Working Hours
Monday to Friday 7am to 3.30pm....occasional Saturdays and afternoon happy hour.
