Local Boutique Winery is seeking a Winemaker

Job Overview
We are a small, growing boutique winery seeking a skilled and passionate Part-Time Winemaker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire winemaking process, from harvest timing to bottling. This role offers an exciting opportunity to craft exceptional wines in a dynamic environment and is ideal for someone who loves hands-on winemaking, values over volume, and enjoys being part of a community driven team.

Duties
Manage all aspects of the winemaking process, from crushing to bottling: including fermentation, blending, and aging
Monitoring current wine in barrels, tasting, adjusting, etc.
Assessing wine chemistry, production timelines, etc.
Collaborate with Owners on wine style, varietals, and production goals
Maintain detailed records of production batches and quality checks
Monitor environmental conditions such as temperature and humidity within production areas

Requirements
Proven experience in winemaking (commercial or boutique)
Background in Enology (Viticulture a plus!)
Strong understanding of fermentation, cellar operations, and wine chemistry
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in recordkeeping and process documentation
Passion for craft wine making with a desire to innovate and improve processes

We are looking for someone with a flexible schedule to start ASAP. For the right fit, this could be a long-term position with room to grow. We are estimating appx 10-20 hours per week to start.
