Job Description
DLS Events is a nationwide food and beverage company with extensive experience supporting large-scale festivals across the country. We are seeking reliable, detail-oriented individuals to join our Loss Prevention Team within our Festival Department.

Pay Range: $22 to $25 hourly (depending on experience)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Responsible for monitoring bartenders and food vendors to ensure policy compliance, prevent revenue loss, and support safe alcohol service during festival operations.
-Ensure bartenders use required pour spouts/jiggers and are not overpouring.
-Confirm bartenders and food vendors do not accept cash for any sales.
-Ensure POS (point-of-sale system) screens are fully turned for attendee signatures and that all items are properly charged.
-Verify wristband checks for all alcohol sales.
-Monitor for overservice and prevent alcohol service to overly intoxicated attendees.
-Ensure no alcohol is served after hard stop times.
-Observe staff behavior and report unusual or suspicious activity.
-Complete incident reports, warnings, and submit all video recordings to management before shift ends.
-Relay all staff warnings to Zone Supervisors or Staffing—not directly to staff.
-Maintain professionalism
-Must be comfortable using a radio for entire shift
-Other duties as assigned
**Required Qualifications**
-Must be at least 21 years of age.
-Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and apply policies consistently.
-Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with staff and management.
**Preferred Qualifications**
-Previous experience in loss prevention, security, or festival/event operations.
-Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced, public event environment.
**Physical & Work Environment Requirements**
-Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
-Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during assigned shifts, with or without reasonable accommodation.
-Ability to use a handheld radio and standard reporting tools during the workday.
Job Type: Part-Time
-Flexible availability required, including evenings, weekends, and festival event days.
-This is a non-exempt position and eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.
California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification required.
-Certification may be obtained during the hiring process if not already held.
