About Us:
Doctor Rooter Inc. is a trusted name in plumbing and underground utility services. We’re looking for a skilled heavy equipment operator to work with us as an independent contractor on excavation and utility projects.

**Position Overview:**
We need an experienced operator who can safely handle excavation equipment for sewer line repairs, water line installations, and underground utility projects. This is an independent contractor opportunity with consistent work available. We provide all equipment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

- Operate excavators, backhoes, trenchers, and mini-excavators for utility work
- Dig trenches for sewer lines, water lines, and underground utilities
- Perform careful excavation around existing pipes and utility lines
- Complete site restoration and backfill work
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Work closely with plumbing crews to support installations and repairs
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized job site

What We’re Looking For:

- At least 2-3 years of experience operating excavators and backhoes
- Experience with utility excavation and trenching (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus)
- Heavy equipment operator certification or license
- Knowledge of underground utility safety and “call before you dig” procedures
- Ability to work in residential and commercial settings
- Strong attention to detail and safety-first mindset
- Good physical condition and ability to work outdoors
- Current liability insurance
- Reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with sewer and water line projects
- Knowledge of pipe installation procedures
- Forklift or skid steer certification
