Hydraulic Technician Helper / Field Service Assistant

Job Description

We are an established industrial hydraulic service company seeking a dependable Helper / Field Service Assistant to support our field technician. This position involves hands-on work servicing and repairing hydraulic systems on commercial fishing vessels, yachts, and military/naval facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone mechanically inclined who wants to learn a skilled trade and grow into a hydraulic technician role.

Schedule:
Monday-Friday from 7:00AM to 3:30PM

Responsibilities

•Assist lead field technician with hydraulic system installation, troubleshooting, and repairs
•Work onboard fishing vessels and yachts, both dockside and underway, as well as in shop when required
•Support jobs on naval bases and other secure facilities
•Handle tools, hoses, fittings, and components safely and efficiently
•Maintain a clean and organized work area on job sites
•Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
•Load/unload service trucks and help prepare for jobs
•Travel to job sites as needed (overtime could be required for certain jobs)

Requirements

•Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
•Comfortable working in marine environments (boats, tight spaces, heights, weather)
•Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor
•Reliable transportation and strong work ethic
•Ability to pass background checks (required for naval base access)
•Valid driver’s license
•Punctual
•Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

Preferred (But Not Required)

•Bilingual (English/Spanish)
•Experience with hydraulics, mechanics, marine systems, or industrial equipment
•Prior work on vessels, shipyards, or industrial job sites
