Contract Paralegal Needed – California E-Filing & Service of Process (Remote / As-Needed)

Solo attorney seeking an experienced California litigation paralegal for contract / as-needed work.

This is not an employment position and not a full-time or part-time job. This is project-based, contract work for someone who already works independently and knows California court procedures.

You must have real, hands-on experience with:

E-filing in California Superior Courts (multiple counties a plus)

Preparing and formatting pleadings for filing

Service of process (including knowing what needs to be served, how, and when)

Proofs of service (POS, NOS, etc.)

Basic litigation support tasks (filing, calendaring deadlines, assembling exhibits, etc.)

Typical tasks will include:

Preparing and e-filing motions, oppositions, replies, etc.

Preparing service packets and coordinating service

Drafting and filing proofs of service

Occasional document formatting and filing troubleshooting

Requirements:

You already work as an independent paralegal or freelance litigation support professional

You know California Superior Court e-filing systems (not just one portal)

You are reliable, responsive, and deadline-oriented

You have your own equipment and software

Compensation:

Hourly or per-project, depending on the task
