Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Administrative Assistant to join our team for the upcoming 2026 tax season. This seasonal position runs from late-January to mid-April, requires a commitment of 30–40 hours per week (Monday-Friday, with ability to work Tuesday-Saturday work week if needed), and is located in the Parkside District of San Francisco. Training on specific processes will be provided to ensure your success in the role.
Our office is conveniently accessible by public transit and offers ample street parking.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Service:
* Answering phones, scheduling and managing appointments
* Greeting clients and processing payments
* Client correspondence via phone and email
Administrative Support:
* Managing mail intake or dropoffs, processing, and distribution
* Scanning and filing documents (electronically and physically)
* Assembly of tax returns and basic data entry
* Assisting with organizing client materials and supporting office operations as needed
* Support tax preparers with miscellaneous office tasks
Office Management:
* Maintaining a neat and professional reception/office area
Qualifications:
* Proficient in computer skills; experience with Microsoft Suite required (Outlook, Excel, Teams, and Word)
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Excellent communication and customer service abilities
* Previous administrative experience is a plus
* Familiarity with tax preparation environments or bilingual skills are a bonus but not required
* Small business professionalism
Compensation:
$24 – $28 per hour depending on experience. 401k. Bonus upon completion of tax season.
