Job Description

North Shore Preserve is seeking a Steward/Dishwasher to join the Food and Beverage Culinary Department.
The Kitchen Steward is responsible for maintaining a very high standard of cleanliness and hygienic state of all kitchens and into general back of house areas. Support in kitchen setup, servicing and break down for events across the business is also a key part of this role. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.

Key Responsibilities -
• Always keeps all food preparation areas meticulously clean and tidy. Maintains safe and sanitary conditions in all food service areas and for all food service equipment.
• Provides courteous and professional service as well as proper care, movement, storage of all kitchen related equipment.
• Demonstrates full working COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) knowledge and adheres to all safety measures in the use of any cleaning materials required to operate.
• Ensures all kitchens are well maintained and cleaned prior to and/or after each daily operation including swift and hygienic garbage removal controls. Also assists with inventory control of catering equipment and plateware.
• Demonstrates full knowledge of cleaning products and keep these areas properly stocked and cleaned.
• Controls any linen usage across kitchens, removing soiled items for laundry and refreshing stocks with new inventory as needed.
• Assists culinary staff when needed and performs side work and other cleaning and organizing as required.
• Communicates with supervisor verbally and through written communication throughout the shift to ensure proper notification and follow through of assigned tasks.
• Provides prompt, courteous service to culinary and F&B team members while maintaining a friendly and pleasant atmosphere.
• Maintains a clean and well-groomed appearance in compliance with departmental and company dress code standards.
