Caldwell, ID • Day Shift • Full-Time • $20–$25/hr

Leonard’s Express is expanding our Caldwell, ID maintenance team — and we’re looking for a skilled Heavy Diesel Tire Technician to support our growing fleet. If you’re experienced with diesel truck tires, trailer maintenance, or commercial fleet repair, this is the opportunity you’ve been looking for.

Understands tire mounting, dismounting, balancing, and tire health monitoring

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Perform daily yard checks and build a worklist
Inspect tire tread, wear patterns, valves, and overall tire condition
Identify repairable tires and complete appropriate repairs
Dismount, mount, and repair mismatched or damaged tires
Perform match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout checks
Complete most daily work in the yard using the company service truck
Inflate tires to proper PSI based on load requirements
Remove tires for off-site retreading or repair
Perform preventative trailer maintenance inspections
Diagnose equipment and trailer issues
Replace trailer light cords, air lines, mud flaps, hangers, marker lights, and reflective tape
Repair worn or damaged components
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe work environment
Adhere to repair time standards and parts procedures
Perform other duties as assigned


WHAT YOU BRING

Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Willingness to learn shop procedures and technical information
High school diploma or GED
Technical school (A/B) or BOCES experience preferred — OR hands-on experience with diesel equipment, farm equipment, construction equipment, or automotive repair
Basic tool set
Valid driver’s license
Brake certification (we can provide this)
