We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations of our trucking and transportation company. This role is responsible for managing accounting functions, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with transportation-related financial regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in fast-paced accounting environments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations and financial reporting
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including freight billing
- Oversee payroll processing for drivers and office staff, including driver settlements
- Ensure accurate tracking of transportation-related expenses (fuel, maintenance, insurance, tolls)
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and transportation-related tax requirements (including IFTA)
- Improve accounting processes and internal controls

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in trucking or transportation
Strong knowledge of payroll, AP/AR, and financial reporting
Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks)
Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills

CPA or CMA certification is a plus but not required
