Job Title: Driving Instructor

Job Summary

We are seeking a patient, professional, and safety-focused Driving Instructor to provide behind-the-wheel and/or classroom instruction to student drivers. The instructor will teach safe driving practices, traffic laws, and defensive driving skills while maintaining a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide behind-the-wheel driving instruction to students of varying skill levels
• Teach traffic laws, road signs, and safe driving techniques
• Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Ensure student safety at all times during lessons
• Maintain accurate lesson records and student progress reports
• Communicate clearly with students, parents, and driving school staff
• Maintain a clean, safe, and properly equipped training vehicle
• Follow all state regulations and driving school policies

Qualifications & Requirements
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• State-required Driving Instructor certification or ability to obtain it
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience and ability to remain calm in stressful situations
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving techniques
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications
• Previous driving instruction or teaching experience
• Experience working with teen drivers or nervous learners
• Bilingual skills (a plus)

Physical Requirements
• Ability to sit for extended periods
• Quick reaction time for emergency braking
• Ability to operate a vehicle safely in various traffic conditions

Work Environment
• In-vehicle instruction on public roads
