Job Description
The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and supporting the cooking staff to ensure efficient kitchen operations. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to food safety standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
-Wash, peel, chop, slice, and portion vegetables, meats, seafood, and other ingredients
-Prepare sauces, stocks, marinades, and basic recipes according to kitchen standards
-Label, date, and properly store all prepped food items following food safety guidelines
-Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas, walk-ins, and storage spaces
-Rotate inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices
-Assist line cooks and chefs during service when needed
-Take deliveries, check for quality and accuracy, and store items properly
-Comply with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
-Dispose of waste and recycling properly and maintain a clean work environment
Qualifications:
-Previous kitchen or food prep for Thai or Asian cuisine
-Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and knife skills
-Ability to follow recipes, prep lists, and instructions accurately
-Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
-Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety
-Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
-Must have food handlers card
Physical Requirements
-Standing for extended periods
-Repetitive hand motions (chopping, slicing, mixing)
-Lifting and carrying kitchen supplies and equipment
