Seeking 2nd or 3rd level Apprentice Iron Worker

This is a temporary, 1 week position, for an apprentice who is currently enrolled in a qualified Iron Worker training program. You must be enrolled and have passed first year iron worker training. Duties include: erecting structural steel for buildings. operating power and hand tools that cut and bend metal, sheet metal fasteners, bolting together steel connectors, working with lift baskets, ladders, and platforms, accurate layout and planning for different types of metal roofing and siding assembly. Lifting materials that are 60 pounds in weight. Understanding OSHA safety rules and practices that are a part of the assigned work tacks and working safety with the lead supervisor and other workers.

The job is at a public elementary school and as such employee will need to pass a drug and background test.

Prevailing wage pay is as follows, hourly rate is $32.77, fringe Benefit is $14.48.
