Job Description:
The Truck Body Installer will be responsible for installing and customizing truck bodies according to customer specifications. They will work as part of a team, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard of quality, safety, and efficiency. The installer will be responsible for using a variety of hand and power tools to complete the installation and will need to have a good understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Responsibilities:
• Install and customize truck bodies to meet customer specifications.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools to complete the installation.
• Install aftermarket truck equipment including but not limited to winches, toolboxes, etc.
• Install electrical and lighting systems as required.
• Cut and fit materials to ensure a precise fit.
• Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard of quality and safety.
• Troubleshoot and repair any issues that arise during the installation process.
• Work as part of a team to ensure that projects are completed on time.
• Keeping a clean and orderly work area.
Skills Required:
• Proven experience in truck body installation or a related field.
• Experience working with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to use a range of hand and power tools.
• Must have experienced on MIG welding
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with colleagues and sales team.
• Strong focus on safety at all times.
Requirements:
• Technical or vocational training in a related field is desirable.
• ASE Certification is a plus.
• Previous experience in a related field is an advantage.
• Must have own tools.
• Ability to work long hours in an outside open-air shop.
• Must be able to safely lift a minimum of 50lbs.
• Ability to stoop, bend over, and stand for long periods of time.
Benefits include: paid holidays after the first 90 days of employment, 2 weeks accrued PTO during the first year of employment and 3 weeks accrued PTO during the second year of employment, annual bonuses, growth within the company, overtime opportunities and a competitive pay.
New employees will be eligible for Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance benefits the 1st of the month after 30 days of employment.
