Tile Setter / Flooring Specialist

Key Responsibilities
Preparation: Remove old tile, clean, level, and smooth surfaces; measure and mark areas for tile placement.
Cutting & Shaping: Use wet saws, scribes, or cutters to cut tiles to fit around obstacles and corners.
Installation: Apply mortar or mastic with trowels, place tiles, and align them using levels and squares.
Grouting & Finishing: Apply grout with a float, wipe away excess, and seal surfaces.

Maintenance: Repair damaged tiles and maintain tools.
Essential Skills & Qualities
Detail-Oriented: For precise measurements, straight lines, and patterns.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and lift heavy materials.
Manual Dexterity & Eye-Hand Coordination: For precise cutting and placement.
Design Sense: To create attractive patterns and visualize the final product.
Communication Skills: To work with clients and teams.
Tools & Materials
Tools: Wet saws, tile cutters, trowels, levels, squares, grout floats, chisels, scrapers.
Materials: Ceramic, stone (marble, granite), grout, mortar, mastic, sealers.
