Senior Revenue Accountant

Position: Senior Revenue Accountant

Job Site: Benchling, Inc.

Location: 680 Folsom Street, Floor 8, San Francisco, CA 94107

Responsibilities: Responsible for examining, analyzing, and interpreting revenue accounting records and preparing detailed financial reports to ensure compliance and strategic growth across the organization. Duties include: reviewing company policy and revenue recognition standards under ASC 606; maintaining accounting memos and related documentation in line with company policy and applicable compliance standards; reviewing month-end close activities and deliverables, including account reconciliations, journal entries, analytics, and reporting; assisting with SOX compliance and internal/external audits; analyzing financial reporting and related data controls to assist in process improvement initiatives; researching and developing accounting process flows, documentation, and workbooks to optimize accounting operations and identify new business opportunities; and other duties as assigned. Employee may be stationed anywhere in the continental U.S., but will report to headquarters in San Francisco, CA. Salary range: $130,000 - $150,000. Standard company benefits. Other duties as assigned.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (or foreign equivalent).

Requirements: 2 years of experience in the job offered or related positions. Other special requirements include: Licensed Certified Public Accountant; 2 years of experience with ASC 606; 2 years of experience conducting audits; and 2 years of experience using the U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
