Maintenance Facility Technician

This Maintenance Technician position is being offered as a temporary assignment with an anticipated duration of two (2) months, beginning February 2, 2026 and expected to continue through approximately April 2, 2026.
At the conclusion of this temporary period, the assignment may be extended and/or may be converted to full-time employment, based on individual performance, client requirements, and business needs. This opportunity is not guaranteed.
In addition, due to operational and client demands, the employee may be required to work at a different site or location than the original assignment during the temporary period and/or upon any extension or full-time conversion.

Job Summary: The Maintenance Facility Technician is responsible for performing a variety of technical maintenance and repair tasks at our designated facility. This role demands a skilled technician proficient in multiple trades, including light plumbing, basic electrical work, painting, roofing, and a strong knowledge in HVAC but certification is not necessary. The technician will ensure the efficient completion of daily work orders, maintain high-quality standards, and adhere to stringent safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute maintenance and repair tasks on facility systems, encompassing light plumbing (e.g., fixing leaks, unclogging drains), basic electrical work (e.g., replacing wall switches, outlets, light bulbs), painting, roofing, and strong understanding and knowledge in HVAC (no license necessary).
Utilize advanced technology to document, manage, and complete daily work orders with precision and efficiency.
Generate comprehensive service reports and conduct thorough quality inspections to ensure work meets company standards.
Diagnose and troubleshoot facility components and systems, implementing effective solutions to maintain optimal functionality and prevent disruptions.
Provide detailed updates on maintenance progress to supervisors and facility management, ensuring transparent and consistent communication.
Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
Perform routine inspections of facility equipment and systems, identifying potential issues and addressing them proactively.
Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient work environment, adhering to best practices in facility maintenance.
Collaborate with other maintenance staff and departments to support overall facility operations and address complex maintenance challenges.
Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay current with industry standards and advancements.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.
Proven experience in facility maintenance or a related technical field.
Proficient in various trades, including light plumbing, basic electrical work (replacing wall switches, outlets, light bulbs, etc.), painting, roofing, and strong understanding and knowledge in HVAC (no license necessary).
Knowledgeable in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong understanding of safety and OSHA standards.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with daily targets for work orders.
People with trade certifications are highly preferred.
Ability to read and comprehend procedure manuals.
Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex maintenance issues.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload efficiently.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional demeanor.
Physical capability to lift heavy objects and perform demanding labor tasks as required.
Proficiency in using maintenance management software and other relevant technology tools.
Ability to create detailed service reports and perform meticulous quality inspections.
Commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations and protocols.
Must have a valid driver's license in good standing.
