Job Title

Part-Time Housekeeper (20 Hours/Week) – Family Home (Pet-Friendly)

Schedule

20 hours per week (flexible; exact days/times to be agreed upon)

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented part-time housekeeper to help maintain a clean, organized, and comfortable family home. The ideal candidate is highly skilled at ironing, confident with laundry care (including gentle washing), and comfortable around children, dogs, and cats. A background check is required.

Key Responsibilities

Laundry & Clothing Care (Priority)

Wash, dry, and fold laundry (including delicates/gentle washing)

Expert ironing required (must be a true professional at ironing)

Put clothing away neatly and maintain clothing organization

Organize closets and dressers as needed

Cleaning & Home Upkeep

Wash dishes and keep kitchen tidy (hand-wash and/or dishwasher)

Clean kitchen surfaces, stovetop, appliances exterior, counters, and sink

Clean bathrooms (toilets, showers/tubs, mirrors, sinks)

Change bed linens and make beds

Sweep/vacuum and clean floors daily

Dust furniture, baseboards, shelves, and other surfaces

General home maintenance cleaning (tidying, wiping, trash/recycling, etc.)

Organize shelves and household areas when needed

Extra Support (As Needed)

Light cooking/meal prep if needed

Walk dogs and assist with basic pet care routines

Required Qualifications

Proven housekeeping experience in a private home or similar setting

Excellent ironing skills (must be highly proficient)

Knowledge of safe laundry practices, including caring for delicate fabrics

Comfortable working in a home with dogs and cats (must genuinely love animals)

Comfortable around children (must genuinely enjoy being around kids)

Trustworthy, discreet, dependable, and organized

Able to follow instructions and maintain consistent standards

English fluency is NOT required (basic communication is sufficient)

Additional Requirements

Background check required (employment contingent upon satisfactory results)

Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently

Ability to handle typical household cleaning tasks (standing, bending, lifting light loads like laundry baskets)

Preferred (Nice to Have)

Experience organizing closets/shelves effectively

Cooking/meal prep experience

Pet handling confidence (especially dog walking)
