Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Customer Service & Production Planning Coordinator to support daily order processing while assisting with production scheduling and inventory coordination.
This position primarily supports customer service operations while providing backup coverage for production planning to ensure on-time delivery and smooth workflow between departments.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service (Primary Focus)
Process customer orders including order entry, invoicing, tracking, and same-day shipment coordination
Communicate with customers regarding order status, shortages, and special requirements
Monitor online orders and maintain accurate order status in company systems
Coordinate with Production and Purchasing to maintain appropriate inventory levels
Provide product status updates to management
Provide backup support to other customer service team members
Production Planning Support (Coverage Role)
Assist with maintaining production schedules to meet shipping deadlines
Confer with department supervisors regarding order status and schedule changes
Help expedite operations when delays occur
Assist in preparation of production reports
Support inventory record maintenance
Assist with purchase orders for required materials as needed
Qualifications
Customer service experience in a manufacturing or technical environment preferred
Experience supporting production planning or scheduling a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to adapt quickly to new systems
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
Work Environment
Manufacturing environment with moderate noise level
Works under minimal supervision
Requires strong judgment and problem-solving skills
