Young special needs person in West LA needs support and guidance

Client is a young adult with a developmental delay, very high functioning with excellent speech, recovering from early childhood trauma and has epileptic seizures from time to time. He is looking to achieve his next level of independence, both personally and socially. He needs not just a caregiver but someone to actively encourage and cultivate his progress through careful planning and follow through.

We are looking for someone with hands-on experience supporting high functioning individuals with developmental delays including high-functioning adults. Ideally understands behavioral support using ABA principles (routine building, redirection, social coaching). Any experience assisting clients with autism, intellectual disabilities, PTSD, and seizure awareness/response would be hugely beneficial. Must be calm, intuitive with behavior patterns, and trustworthy most of all.
