Prepress & Design Associate

Arto Sign Co is a family-owned real estate sign manufacturing company since 1995 and is expanding into different geographic regions. We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Prepress & Design Associate to join our creative and production team in delivering high-quality print materials. This pivotal role combines expertise in graphic design, prepress processes, and manufacturing coordination to ensure that all print projects meet the highest standards of color accuracy, layout precision, and overall quality. As a key driver of our visual communication efforts, you will oversee the entire prepress workflow, design initiatives, and collaborate closely with production teams to streamline operations and enhance output excellence. Duties

Prepare, review, and set up print-ready files for large-format production (vinyl, banners, rigid substrates, decals, etc.).
Operate and assist with large-format printers, vinyl plotters, laminators, and related finishing equipment.
Ensure accurate color output and material setup using Corel Draw and RIP software.
Perform vinyl weeding, masking, mounting, trimming, and general finishing tasks.
Conduct quality control checks to verify layout accuracy, sizing, color consistency, and material integrity before and after production.
Collaborate with the production team to meet daily deadlines and maintain organized workflow.
Maintain shop cleanliness, equipment upkeep, and follow safety procedures.
Provide occasional customer support regarding artwork files and production timelines.
Qualifications

Experience in a sign shop or large-format print production environment preferred.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and RIP software.
Understanding of large-format printing processes, vinyl application, and finishing techniques.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a hands-on production setting.
Professional attitude with strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset.
