CDL Class A Driver – Local Routes (Hayward / East Bay) – Home Daily

Viking Commodity Inc., a Bay Area recycling and logistics company based in Hayward, is looking for a reliable Class A CDL driver to join our team. This is a local position — home every day.

Our drivers move appliance loads between retail distribution centers and recycling facilities throughout the Bay Area.

Position Overview

Drivers operate a semi truck with 53’ trailers hauling appliance loads and scrap material between local facilities. Work consists of local drop & hook, live loads, and yard moves.

This role requires schedule flexibility depending on operational needs.

Typical shifts include:

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 4:30 AM
• Swing Shift: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Most weeks will consist primarily of the night shift, with occasional swing shift coverage when needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tractor trailer
• Pick up and deliver appliance loads between Bay Area locations
• Complete trailer swaps and yard moves
• Maintain paperwork and communicate with dispatch
• Follow all safety and DOT regulations

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Clean driving record
• 2+ years commercial driving experience preferred
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Must be flexible with shift scheduling
