Motel Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and performing maintenance operations for multiple Motel 6 properties. This role ensures guest rooms, public areas, and building systems are safe, functional, and maintained to brand standards. The supervisor works closely with property management, leads maintenance staff, and travels regularly between assigned locations. Mileage reimbursement is provided per company policy.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Oversee and perform day-to-day maintenance for multiple Motel 6 properties

Supervise, train, and support maintenance technicians and on-site staff

Complete hands-on repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, flooring, appliances, and general building maintenance

Implement and manage preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and repair costs

Conduct routine property inspections to identify safety issues, needed repairs, and brand standard concerns

Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies, including after-hours calls when required

Coordinate with property managers to prioritize work orders and minimize guest impact

Manage vendors and contractors for specialized repairs when necessary

Maintain accurate records of work orders, inspections, and supply usage

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, local codes, and Motel 6 brand standards

Control maintenance costs while maintaining quality and safety

Qualifications

Must be Bi-lingual

High school diploma or equivalent required

Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in hospitality, multifamily, or commercial facilities; supervisory experience preferred

Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs

Ability to work independently across multiple locations with minimal supervision

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

Ability to read work orders, basic schematics, and safety instructions

Strong organizational and communication skills

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs

Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and perform repetitive motions

Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

Travel & Mileage

Regular travel between assigned Motel 6 properties is required

Mileage reimbursement provided in accordance with company policy

Work Schedule

Full-time position

Flexible schedule may include weekends, evenings, and on-call availability for emergencies
