Your role will be to offer patient and compassionate support with executive functioning and assignments.

About the Student:
• Has arthrogryposis: uses braces for short distances and a power wheelchair for longer ones
• Has some cognitive issues, including aphasia, but can be articulate, thoughtful, and intellectually engaged
• Enjoys discussing politics, racial and social justice, and music
• Currently requires the most support with writing tasks
• Friendly and talkative with guidance, but tends to isolate when not prompted or does not feel comfortable

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
• Experience working with individuals with physical or developmental disabilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Background in occupational therapy, social work, education, psychology, or a related field
• B.A. or higher degree
• Respect for autonomy, privacy, and the dignity of young adults with disabilities

Additional Info:
