King Ranch Turfgrass has an immediate full-time opportunity for 2 experienced class A CDL Flatbed Drivers W/ Top Tier Benefits **Competitive Hourly Pay**

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
• Operate company owned and leased trucks over 4 tons to facilitate shipping and receiving operations
• Operate trucks for the delivery, pickup and relocation of Sod and materials is safe manner
• Perform required before, during and after operation “user maintenance” and provide required reports
• Perform Pre-trip and Post Trip inspection of truck , trailer as required per DOT
• Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations
• Operate all Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
• Maintain all required certifications required by DOT, OSHA and company safety programs
• Maintain and protect all property entrusted to you in excellent condition
• Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations
• Attend Weekly Safety Meetings

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE DESIRED:
• Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:
• Valid CDL required with minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have only one valid commercial driver’s license
• Must have a valid medical certificate
• Must be able to climb on trailer and safely secure load.
• Ability to operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner at all times
• Ability to know how to safely load, block, brace and secure the cargo
• Must be able to learn to operate all Material Handling Equipment used by the company
• Ability to understand and comply with posted work rules and procedures
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: (IF APPLICABLE)
• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS (Lifting, Bending, Stretching, etc.)
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly


Overtime is often required. Must be able to work up to the 10 to 14-hour days. 6 Day work week during peak seasons. ( March - October) Some Sundays maybe required if driving hours left on hours of service as per DOT regulation during peak season. If work Sunday will be off Saturday.


Driver must be able to climb on trailer & tarp and strap load.
Forklift experience a plus but not required.
Some out of town deliveries will be required but will return home same day.

Must be dependable and reliable.

Applicants must past background check and drug test as required per DOT.
