Job Description

We are hiring a Bilingual (English/Spanish) Intake & Authorization Coordinator for a home health office.

This position is responsible for coordinating patient intake, insurance authorizations, and communication with hospitals, physicians’ offices, pharmacies, and patients.

Spanish is REQUIRED.

Key responsibilities include:

Answering incoming calls from patients, physicians’ offices, hospitals, and pharmacies
Receiving and organizing intake paperwork and referrals
Calling insurance companies to obtain and follow up on authorizations
Sending orders and paperwork to physicians for signature
Following up to ensure orders are signed and returned in a timely manner
Communicating professionally with all referral sources
Maintaining accurate and organized records

Required skills:

Fluent in English and Spanish
Detail-oriented and highly organized
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable working with deadlines and follow-ups

Preferred (not required):
Home health or healthcare experience
Experience with private insurance and authorizations
Training will be provided for the right candidate.
