We are currently seeking full-time Certified Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at one of our advanced automotive service and tire sales centers located in the Deerfield Beach, FL area. About the Position of Automotive Mechanic
As Mavis's leaders in under-car repairs, our Automotive Mechanics are trusted to inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services on customers' vehicles. Mavis's Certified Automotive Mechanics perform a wide variety of under-car repairs, including brakes, struts, and shocks. Automotive Mechanics are also responsible for completing state-mandated inspections, changing oil and filters, checking fluids, replacing worn parts, and dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires.
We seek team members who share our dedication to achieving total customer satisfaction and delivering the highest quality service. As an active role, Automotive Mechanics are required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repetitive and consistent movements in line with vehicle maintenance and automotive repair. Mechanics must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
Qualifications
To qualify for the role of Certified Automotive Mechanic, you must meet the following requirements:
Be at least 18 years old;
Have legal authorization to work in the United States;
possess two years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance, or have a combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the position; and
Possess a comprehensive set of personal tools for performing under-car repairs.
In addition, candidates must possess the following certifications:
State inspection license(s); and
AATI certificate and/or
ASE certification in the following areas:
A4-Steering & Suspension
A5-Brakes, A6-Electrical
A7-Heating & Air Conditioning
A8-Engine Performance
