Job description:

This position is for our 25 year old daughter who has Cerebral Palsy and uses a power wheelchair for mobility. We employ multiple caregivers to help with her 24/7 needs. Duties:

Help with personal care needs, such as dressing, toileting, grooming, and bathing
Learn medical skills needed to perform tube feeds and ostomy care
Medication Managment
Transporting to and from appointments, errands, activities in our handicap accessible vehicle
Preparing and cooking meals
Light housekeeping duties (e.g., keeping room clean, laundry, dishes)
Keeping proper care logs and reporting changes in condition
Following client care guidelines
Caregivers will assist with transfer and mobility
Maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment
Skills needed:

Verbally communicate with family and co-workers regarding care
Interpersonal skills, including exceptional patience and listening skills
Ability to provide care across a variety of settings, including in-home and day program communities
Requirements:

· Valid Driver’s License

· Must have weekend availability

· Background Check

CNA (Preferred)

Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)
