Personal care/behavior support 29-year-old autistic male

We are seeking a patient, reliable, fun, compassionate caregiver to join our team with, preferably, experience working with adults who have autism spectrum disorder/anxiety. Applicant must have reliable transportation and be able to pass a background check. The client is a 29-year-old man who is active, chatty, usually sweet and imaginative, and enjoys, watching movies, talking about movies, making up stories, freight, trains, and engaging with others around him. He also has times he has some challenging behavior that will take some coaching and time to navigate. Client aggressions are usually towards his own belongings. The Care alternates between two households which are located in southwest Escondido and Cardiff By The Sea. The hours needed our approximately 2 PM or 3 PM until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday . Sunday hours.: Escondido house approximately 10:15 AM to 4:15 PM. Cardiff house approximately 3 to 9 PM.* Once in a while some later nights will be needed with advanced notice.)
Duties: *provide Home Care(an assistance with cooking, cleaning, hygiene, bathing, toileting, laundry, dishes, organizing.
* be willing to engage with client and answer lots of questions about moving and be willing to use your imagination to make up stories with Client.(sounds silly, but it’s a thing.)
* offer patient care with empathy and understanding when client is having incidents of behavior and being upset… Be willing to learn about how parents and other caregivers on our team handle difficult situations and behavior.
* maintain a calm demeanor/calm inner state (especially when challenging behavioral moments occur)
* support with daily routine.
* maintain a clean and safe environment
* provide direct support in various activities

Requirements
* experience in caregiving and and preferably experience working with adults on the autism spectrum
* strong communication skills
* Consistent and reliable with your work schedule
* competence in meal preparation
* CPR certification is required for emergency response situation

* Hourly wage is $30 Usually 30 hours per week occasionally 35 a week
