Highly organized store manager sought

A local, thriving business in downtown Lompoc needs an organized, self-driven, detail-oriented store manager. The environment is both fun and fast-paced, and new and interesting challenges are part of the job. The successful candidate will possess the ability to think critically, a passion for sinking their teeth into their career, and the ability to work with customers from a wide range of backgrounds.

Job Summary: This role reports directly to the business owner, and the successful candidate will engage in forward-facing customer service and is also responsible for maintaining the shop's day-to-day business operations.

Job Responsibilities: These include but are not limited to inventory management, supply chain management, handling accounts payable and accounts receivable, working closely with the owner and mechanics in maintaining a repair schedule, and ensuring smooth operation of the business.

Qualifications: Command of written and spoken English is essential, and a grasp of basic Spanish will be very helpful. Basic computer skills are required. Database and spreadsheet experience is helpful. While prior experience in the bike industry is not required, strong organizational skills, competence in critical thinking, a results-oriented mindset, flexibility and adaptability, and a capacity for problem solving in real time are enormously beneficial in the successful execution of this role. Marketing and/or commercially-oriented social media experience will be advantageous. A sense of humor is essential.

Schedule: While the business is open Tuesday through Saturday, the schedule is potentially flexible, and could range from 28 to 40 hours per week. This is an on-site role, with little or no remote work required.

Compensation: The compensation package will be based on the successful applicant's qualifications, and will be highly competitive.
