Job Description

💃 Get Paid to Work Weddings | DJ & Event Team (We Train You)

Ever thought…
“That looks fun, but I could never do that.”

What if we told you — you absolutely can, and we’ll train you.

Our DJ Rocks is a female-led wedding & event entertainment company hiring new team members to work fun, high-energy events across Central Florida. This is a paid, weekend role with a real growth path — not a one-off gig.

No DJ experience needed.
Personality required. ✨

💰 PAY & GROWTH (READ THIS)

• Event Assistants start at $17.50/hour (paid training + events)
• DJs in training earn $200–$400 per event
• Long-term DJs are eligible for a 401(k) with company match

Yes — a DJ job with benefits.

🎧 WHAT YOU’LL START AS

DJ Event Assistant + Photobooth Host (sometimes called a Roadie or Event Tech)

You’ll be paid while you:

- Help set up and break down professional DJ equipment
- Support DJs at weddings, corporate events, and celebrations
- Learn how events flow behind the scenes
- Observe music programming, timing, and crowd energy
- Interact with guests, clients, and vendor teams

If you show reliability, professionalism, and great energy, you can move into our DJ training path through DJ University (our in-house program).

🎓 WANT TO BECOME A DJ? WE TEACH YOU.

Our DJs are trained — not thrown in.

Through DJ University, you’ll learn:

- Mixing & technical basics
- Music programming (what to play + when)
- Microphone confidence & MC skills
- Wedding & event flow
- How to lead energy in a room

We can teach the technical skills.
What we can’t teach is how to care about people.

✨ WHO THIS IS PERFECT FOR

You’ll love this if you:

- Enjoy music, people, and social environments
- Have customer service, hospitality, retail, or guest-facing experience
- Are comfortable talking to new people (or want to build confidence)
- Show up on time, prepared, and professional
- Like learning, coaching, and growing your skills
- Want flexible weekend work that’s actually fun

If the idea of leading energy and creating memorable experiences sounds exciting (even if a little scary), you’ll fit right in.

🗓 SCHEDULE

- Part-time, weekend-based
- Events primarily Fridays & Saturdays
- Booked weeks or months in advance
- Most DJs work 30–60 events per year, depending on availability

This is not a 40-hour desk job.
It is a long-term opportunity if you want it.

📋 REQUIREMENTS

- Must be 18+
- Weekend availability
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
-Comfortable standing and moving for extended periods
- Commitment to training and professionalism
- Customer service or hospitality experience is strongly preferred.
- Music or performance experience is helpful but not required.
- Personality, Charisma + Comfortability Speaking in front of Crowds is a must!
