Job Description
Location: Irvine / Lake Forest, CA just off the 5 Freeway.
We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our AS9100-certified machine shop for a full-time position. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating both CNC and manual machines to produce high-precision aerospace components.
Key Responsibilities
• Set up and operate CNC lathes 2 axis with FANUC controls and a HAAS mill with 3 axis, as well as manual machining equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T, and CAD files.
• Perform precision machining in compliance with AS9100 quality standards, including completion of First Article Inspections (FAI) and maintaining dimensional accuracy of ±0.0003.
• Machine parts for both low-volume prototype runs and high-volume production runs.
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, gauge pins, thread gauges, and optical comparator.
• Prepare raw materials and maintain accurate stock and material handling.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and quality objectives.
Qualifications & Requirements
• 5+ years of experience as a machinist in a manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of GD&T and technical drawings.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to quality.
