Optometric Technician

Clear Vision Optometry, Inc. is looking for an Optometric Technician to replace our beloved Technician who is retiring after 27 years. The Tech's duties would be assisting the Optometrist in daily patient care. Those duties include:
*getting patient medical history
*pre-testing patients on the Auto-refract machine, NCT, and FDT
*scribing for the Doctor
*performing medical testing: taking photos, scans, and visual fields
*ordering contacts
*contact lens fittings and trainings
*making sure exam lanes are stocked
*VA and TriWest authorization paperwork

The Technician is the heart and soul of our office, so we really do prefer experience. However, if you come from a different part of the medical field and are willing to learn all about optometry, please submit your resume. Compensation will be based on experience, but we do pay well and offer room to grow.
