Position Overview
The Remote Customer Support Specialist is a key point of contact between Master Accounting and Tax Service, LLC and our clients. This role is responsible for providing professional, courteous, and efficient support to clients regarding their accounts, services, and general inquiries. The ideal candidate is empathetic, organized, and confident in communicating with clients while working independently in a remote environment.
This position is fully work-from-home and is well suited for individuals seeking stability, flexibility, and long-term remote employment. Prior customer service experience is preferred, but not required. Comprehensive training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary contact for client inquiries via phone, email, and secure messaging platforms
Provide accurate information regarding services, account status, documentation requirements, and timelines
Assist clients with onboarding, document submission, and general service navigation
Escalate complex issues to appropriate departments while maintaining clear communication with clients
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all client interactions in internal systems
Follow established procedures to protect client confidentiality and sensitive financial information
Resolve client concerns in a professional, empathetic, and timely manner
Coordinate with accounting, payroll, and tax teams to ensure client needs are addressed
Monitor support queues and meet response time and service quality standards
Identify recurring issues and provide feedback to management for process improvement
Stay current on company services, policies, and seasonal changes, especially during peak tax periods
Support administrative tasks related to customer service as needed
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Professional phone etiquette and customer-focused mindset
Ability to remain calm and solution-oriented when handling sensitive or stressful situations
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate multiple systems
Ability to work independently and follow established procedures
Reliable internet connection and a secure, quiet home office
Commitment to confidentiality and ethical handling of client information
Dependable attendance and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications
Previous customer service, call center, or client support experience
Familiarity with accounting, tax, or financial services terminology
Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
Military service, veteran status, or military spouse/dependent status
Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required
Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
Military experience is not required; however, applicants with military backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
