Now Hiring – Experienced Mechanic (Salvage Yard)

Location: Montclair, CA - AA Imports Auto Wrecking
**Also looking for a mechanic at our Los Angeles location near the 105fwy and Alameda Street.

Schedule: Part-time, 4 days per week
Pay: Starting at $30+/hour (hourly pay)
Tools: Must have own tools (owning Snap-On tools a plus, as we do have a Snap-On truck stop by once a week)

We’re looking for a knowledgeable, dependable, and efficient mechanic to help with vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and evaluations in a salvage yard environment.

This is not a fully equipped shop. The right candidate must be comfortable working without a lift and without high-end dealership equipment.

This position starts part-time with the possibility of full-time for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair vehicles of all makes and models
Perform mechanical work in a salvage yard setting - downtime dismantle vehicles
Work efficiently with limited equipment
Identify mechanical issues quickly and accurately
Assist with evaluating vehicles for resale or part-out
Maintain a safe and organized work area
Communicate clearly with management about vehicle conditions

Requirements:
Strong mechanical knowledge and experience
Must have own tools
Ability to work on vehicles without a lift
Comfortable working in a non-traditional shop environment
Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Experience with salvage yards, auctions, or independent shops is a plus

What we offer:
$30/hour starting pay (more possible based on experience)
Hourly pay (not flat rate)
