Machine Operator - Saw

Steel Fabrication Saw Operator wanted for year-round, long-term employment in a NON-Union Shop. West Valley, Phoenix area manufacturer is expanding and looking for hard-working, motivated individuals to fill full-time positions.

Pay rate is DOE.

Applicant Requirements:
We are seeking a skilled Steel Fabrication Saw Operator with a primary focus on operating and maintaining saw equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in steel fabrication and CNC machinery, with a strong emphasis on precision and safety.

Responsibilities
• Operate and maintain various types of steel cutting saws, ensuring precision, efficiency, and safety in all cutting processes.
• Handle and transport steel materials, ensuring proper organization and inventory management.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards, making necessary adjustments to the equipment as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on saw equipment, including blade changes, lubrication, and troubleshooting minor issues.
• Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and team members.
• Utilize CNC machinery when applicable, with a focus on programming and operation, to improve productivity and accuracy.
• Maintain accurate records of production, machine settings, and maintenance tasks performed.
• Work closely with the production team to ensure timely completion of orders and assist in other fabrication processes as needed.
• Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality.

Qualifications
• Proven experience as a steel fabrication machine operator, with a specific focus on operating saw equipment.
• CNC machine operation experience is a significant plus.
• Knowledge of steel materials, measurements, and cutting techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficient in basic math and measurement tools.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Safety-conscious and able to follow safety guidelines rigorously.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 75 lbs.).
• Stand, bend, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
• Use personal protective equipment as required.
