Job Description

Internal Product Engineer — Starlink + Mobile Internet + Electrical Products (Veritas Vans)

Rapid prototyping • 3D printing • Real products shipped fast

Veritas Vans is hiring an Internal Product Engineer to develop products around Starlink, mobile internet/communication systems. We move fast: we 3D print prototypes, test in the real world, iterate quickly, then scale approved designs through in-house manufacturing or overseas partners.

This role is a mix of mechanical product engineering + practical electrical product development (packaging, integration, and coordination with electrical design when needed).

What you’ll do

Develop products for Starlink + internet communication systems (mounts, enclosures, cable routing, ruggedization, accessory integration)

Also develop electrical products/accessories such as:

power and data cables/cords, harnesses, adapters

converters, regulators, power distribution accessories

PCBs/boards (working with EEs as needed, or owning basic board-level development if you’re capable)

Prototype quickly using 3D printing (FDM) and fast iteration cycles

Create/maintain CAD models, drawings, specs, and manufacturing-ready files

Design for manufacturability: in-house (CNC / fixtures / small batch) and overseas production (clear specs, tolerances, QA expectations)

Build BOMs, select hardware/connectors, and source components

Validate fitment, assembly, and durability (vibration, heat, outdoor exposure)

Coordinate handoffs to production and overseas partners (release packages, revisions, QC feedback loops)

You’ll be a great fit if you…

Are strong in CAD (Fusion 360 preferred)

Know how to prototype fast with FDM printing (materials, tolerances, inserts, strength)

Have solid mechanical instincts (load paths, vibration, weather resistance, fastening, adhesives)

Are comfortable developing products that integrate electronics + cabling
(You don’t need to be an EE, but you should understand connectors, wire routing/strain relief, heat, sealing, and real-world install constraints.)

Can work independently, move projects forward, and document revisions cleanly

Bonus points

Hands-on experience with PCBs (basic schematic/layout, testing, bring-up) or close collaboration with EEs

Experience with Starlink hardware, rooftop mounts, fleet installs, RV/van products

Knowledge of plastics (HDPE, ABS/ASA, nylon, PC blends), seals/gaskets, outdoor durability

CNC/injection molding familiarity, vendor/overseas manufacturing experience

What the work looks like

Concept → CAD → 3D print → test fit → revise (fast)

Approved prototypes move to either:

In-house manufacturing, or

Overseas production partners for scaling

Location / schedule

On-site preferred (Central Coast / SLO area) for hands-on prototyping and testing

Full-time preferred

Growth opportunity with a fast-moving product company

Details shared during the interview
