OASIS Building Manager

Summary of Job Details
The Oasis Building Manager oversees operations of the Oasis facility at 71 South Los Carneros in Goleta, a large, shared-use research and innovation building housing multi-PI research centers, experimental and product-development facilities, and startup incubation spaces. The building supports a wide range of disciplines, including semiconductors, batteries, AI, biomaterials, and synthetic biology, as well as events such as workshops, seminars, and networking gatherings. The Building Manager ensures safe, efficient operation of all facilities and incubation spaces in accordance with established policies and protocols, assists occupants with building system and infrastructure issues, and supports ongoing facility modifications, renovations, and space allocations. This role serves as the primary liaison with UCSB, city, and county environmental health and safety officials and requires knowledge of applicable fire and environmental safety codes, as well as experience with research laboratory facilities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and/or work experience
4-6 years managing complex physical infrastructure, including engineering and financial considerations
Special Conditions of Employment
UCSB Campus Security Authority under Clery Act
Required to hold a valid driver's license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies and procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program.
Satisfactory criminal history background check

Days/Hours: Mon-Fri, 8:00am-5:00pm
