As an Excavation Operator, you will be responsible for various excavation tasks, including transporting and loading equipment and operating heavy machinery to dig trenches and backfill at construction sites. You will work closely with safety experts, customers, and other construction personnel.
The right applicant will be reliable, detail-oriented, and prompt.
Responsibilities:
• Operate backhoes, excavators, and other heavy equipment.
• Perform daily maintenance on equipment & monitor equipment for malfunctions or defects.
• Conform to all job-site safety.
• Coordinate with project managers and other team members.
• Check with you Supervisor to receive additional tasks as needed.
Requirements:
• Experience operating heavy equipment for commercial excavation.
• Valid driver’s license/commercial driver’s license is a plus.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
• A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
