CNC Machinist/ Machine Operator

CNC Machinist/ Operator-

Glacier Tool is a well-established defense contractor in Stevensville, MT. We are seeking a skilled individual for VMC, HMC, Mill/Turn, Turning and Surface Grinding.

This role involves both machining and operating responsibilities, including setting up production jobs, overseeing production operators, programming new parts, and ensuring quality standards are met.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

-Strong mechanical aptitude
-Set up and optimize current production jobs for efficiency and accuracy.
-Have the ability to adapt to new processes and parts quickly
-Dealing with tight tolerances
-Willingness to learn
-Math aptitude necessary, familiarity with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers ect.)
-Must be a self-starter with an ability to work with a positive attitude in a team atmosphere
-Quality work habits and good attendance are keys to success in this position
-Assist in machine maintenance
-Assist in the inspection and documentation of all parts going through the shop
-Program new parts using GibbsCAM
-Design and build fixtures using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
