The County of Nevada Transit Services Division, aka Nevada County Connects, is currently recruiting Temporary (part-time) Bus Drivers in the Grass Valley and Nevada City region. We are seeking motivated, customer service oriented people who enjoy being a part of a close-knit team that provides amazing services to the public. Our Mission is to provide safe, efficient, and friendly transit services to the residents of Western Nevada County. The Temporary Bus Driver position is an integral part of accomplishing that goal, so we need you to join our team. 

Recruitment incentives: up to $3,000 paid over a 6-month period (either new or lateral hires). The recruitment incentive is paid in two parts, half upon hire and the remainder paid upon completion of a 6-months of employment.  

Requirements include completion of twelfth grade or receipt of G.E.D. and a minimum of six months of driving experience in one or more of the following: public transit, a school district transit operation, or driving a commercial vehicle. Possession of the following documents from the State of California: VTT Certificate within three months of hire, Passenger Endorsement Certificate, Class A or B, Vehicle Operator’s License, and Department of Motor Vehicles Medical Certificate/DL-51.  Passenger transit driving experience preferred.
